Tayiana Garden Spa opened its doors to the public in March this year and has since then claimed its place as a haven that sums up relaxation in all its aspects. Offering Kenya country experience just 20 minutes from city centre, Tayiana is an ideal escape for women... where they get to spend quality "Me Time", get pampered in a calm unruffled serene outdoor environment, meet & network with their peers and go home renewed and rejuvenated.
Upon arrival at the spa, one is ushered in by jolly and cheery ladies who wash your feet in water mixed with sand, pebbles and glass crystals. This treatment is good for blood circulation. And as you change into comfortable shoes provided for your tour within the spa, you get the chance to sit and sip some herbal tea served at the spa's reception. Looking around the reception area, one can easily tell that the spa embraces a splendid Afro theme. From the choice of colours to the artifacts hanging on the wall and fabrics used on the furniture, the concept of making the spa exclusively Kenyan is apparent. Ciiru Waweru of Amber Designs went the extra mile in ensuring this. The splendid ambience and rustic decor around the spa is the embodiment of nature in an Africanized way.
The Tayiana Garden Spa is designed like a Boma with several huts for different purposes, including a floating hut. Water is integral in a spa owing to its therapeutic nature, and water abounds in Tayiana. All the huts and spaces have Maasai names that mean or represent the feelings that the spa should evoke. The name Tayiana is a girl's name that means 'Blessed'.
Besides the usual beauty and touch therapies that are tradition in spas (Manicure, Pedicure, Steam/ Jacuzzi, Various Massages, Scrubs & Wraps), Tayiana Garden Spa organizes and provides an opportunity for women to network strengthen support and learn from each other.
